'Amma Mia' : Esha Deol's Book on Motherhood

Updated: Mar 6, 2020

The burden of being a star kid is often hard. No one talks about the challenges and pressures Esha would have felt being a daughter of Hema Malini. I mean put yourself in her shoes. She is the daughter the woman who was deemed Dream Girl of the nation. How can any woman surpass that? Yet, Esha Deol made her mark.

She braved through the many struggles and made a place for herself as an actor. Many may not remember but she was one of the first of her generation to get that super fine-super fine Yash Raj heroine avatar. Over years I've seen her (on social media and articles) bloom as a wonderful wife and a mom. She's held herself in the same dignity and class like her mom was for her. And I'm pretty sure for her kids she has surpassed all charts of excellence.

Her book is releasing this month on the 23rd of March. Pre-Orders have started and I'm definitely getting myself a copy. In my years interviewing her, she was always smart and charming and had a fantastic sense of humour and comic timing. I wish I had seen more of her in films, but it will be interesting to read her journey as a Amma Mia.
