Budget iPad : why it's an investment

Updated: Mar 27, 2021

Last year ended with quite a creative bang. We welcomed a brand new iPad into our collection of gizmos and life has never been the same. From art to music to games I never gave the iPad much credit and now i'm even reconsidered forsaking my phone and having just the iPad!

Watch me breakdown why this budget iPad is a superb investment!

The Products I used in this video:

iPad 8th Gen: 32 GB: https://amzn.to/3cDCV2W

Apple Pencil (1st Gen): https://amzn.to/3am7Kqg

Origami iPad Cover (Yellow as seen on the video): https://amzn.to/2YYaSTZ

Other "wishlist" gizmos to make your process easier

My advice which I didn't talk about in the video would be to get a iPad with a higher storage because once you start doing more with it, you don't want to be limited with space. iCloud is great but many updates fill up your system storage eventually.

Truth be told the apple pencil was a shocker for me, mostly because I realised how it would change the way I use the iPad.

Definitely after using the first generation apple pencil one does "wishlist" the apple pencil Gen 2 which has magnetic wireless charging! If you can afford it (which I couldn't) then the sweet spot to make the most would be an iPad Pro with a Gen 2 Apple Pencil but that really would burn a hole into my pocket.

But the Apple Gen 1 for a person who used the sponge stylus's on the phone takes writing to another level. That said I do need to say it takes a little getting used to especially if you've never used a stylus before. My handwriting is finally improving and I'm getting more confident in my strokes in drawing. But true confession initially the pencil made me a little nervous (mostly because its the most expensive PEN i've ever bought!). The most fun you would have is in note taking (Goodnotes) and Drawing (watch the Budget iPad : ART video to know about the apps which go well for digital drawing).

Overall I think if you're creative and looking to express yourself in the digital medium, the budget iPad is a great option, I totally recommend it.
