Wings of Fire : Book Series Recommendation

So when I sat and watched the first Lord of the Rings movie i had seen the book many times in the library but never picked it up. When the movie abruptly got over (in Regal cinema where I watched because the movie was so long they cut the titles and even the last scene) I reacted very strongly mostly because I wanted to know how it ended.

Of course over time, I learnt that there were three parts and eventually I made my peace with the "waiting" and eventually fell in love with the movies and the book too. Many say the book is better— I got the book because my brother told me I had to read 100 pages only then he would gift me a copy (I still haven't gone past those 100 pages) but I'm really waiting for the right time to get time to sit and read it. I struggle to put books down, and normally the only time I get to read a book is when I'm on holiday and its been over 10 years since my last 'holiday' where I got time to read.

The Wings of Fire series are far intense than Lord of the Rings, more because its not 3/4 books but 14 (and counting). This fictional chronicle with dragon! The book creates this unforgettable fantastical world (with different arcs) with prequels and everything. It's an all rounder book, perfect fantasy literature for kids from 8 onwards (adults included). My niece is reading this and the reviews online are off the charts! A must-read during this period where one may not know which book to start reading! (14 days is a long time).

I've used WIKIPEDIA's help for the information (reference credit) as well as Amazon's description for the "about the book" section.

Every tree, that is, except the wild and dangerous Poison Jungle, where the surviving LeafWings have been hiding since the war. Hiding, plotting, and waiting for a dragon like Sundew, who is uniquely qualified to bring down the Hives. There are dark secrets in the jungle, though-some that Sundew is keeping, and some that she's only just beginning to discover. And now that a new war is upon them, Sundew and her friends must unearth the oldest secret in the jungle-even if what they find has the power to destroy them all.

Before the battle of the SandWing queens; before the prophecy and the dragonets were sent to save Pyrrhia from endless war; a long, long time ago ... evil was born.

In alternating chapters, this Wings of Fire special edition takes readers back to the very beginning, when powerful, mythical dragons Clearsight, Fathom, and Darkstalker - the most dangerous dragon of all - were just dragonets. When the future was bright and uncertain, when no one had been betrayed or had their heart broken.

Book 14: The Dangerous Gift

Release date UPCOMING : September 15, 2020

I just realised that the books I posted are 14 books (of course I know Book#14 is releasing in September) but I guess you can do 1 book a day (since the quarantine number of days is 14 too!) How cool!

As you go check those out, while I restart reading Lord of the Rings (from page 101).
